I have been astounded by the subtle and not so subtle disparagement of Sarah Palin in the national press. If Sarah really was unworthy of the office of Vice President of the United States, then why is she worthy of so much effort to try and convince us all of that?
The democrats have been making the rounds in an obviously choreographed effort to make people think Palin was shrill in her acceptance speech. But as an independent who saw her speech last night, and who has been following the coverage of the Palin speech since, the only shrillness I hear comes from the left.
And speaking of the left, is this the best they can do? No wonder democrats like to use the word “desperate” a lot.
Can you imagine that a POSER like Barack Obama, with his make believe presidential seal, could be 60 days away from the presidency, much less a heartbeat?
If Obama has so much political experience, then why is America much more aware of his speeches than his portfolio of reforms? Apparently Obama measures experience by the number of words spoken, not the number of actions taken.
What has Obama done for the state of Illinois? And what has he done since becoming a US Senator, other than promote himself?
Obama’s circular logic had him on TV the other day claiming he was qualified to be president, because he’s run a presidential campaign.
Uh, okay. And what exactly does Obama “campaign manager” David Plouffe do again? Bring his Poser-ness his morning coffee?
Barack Obama is a self absorbed narcissist, who has written more about himself than he has for his constituents in Illinois.
Obama is a made for TV candidate in the age of American Idol. And obviously, American Idol has a lot of fans.
Not only is Barack Obama not qualified to lead this country, he’s not even qualified to claim to know “what the American people want.”
Exactly when did Obama qualify himself to be so in touch with Americans?
Was it his $4 million income last year from writing books about himself that gives him his gift with the common person?
Was it his underage drinking in high school?
Was it his marijuana and cocaine use as an adult?
Is it his Harvard law degree that makes Obama think he is so in touch with what Americans want?
Or is it the $1.65 million house he lives in, purchased in league with a campaign campaign contributor who at the time was “under scrutiny for alleged political corruption.”
Barack Obama is a self absorbed narcissist who does more for the advancement of his career than for those he was elected to serve.
Obama supporters should be embarrassed, and find themselves a real candidate instead of the Harvard Law cardboard cut out.
Palin exposed just what a poser Barack Obama really is in her speech last night, and Joe Biden is next.
If you weren’t excited about McCain, at least Palin is someone you can genuinely be excited about, assuming you aren’t too proud to admit you were wrong about Obama.

Are you saying that Obama is some sort of elitist? Because compared to McCain, Obama is a regular Joe Six-Pack. Yeah, so Obama made a lot of money. How much do the McCains have? Yes, Obama lives in one expensive house. How many houses do the McCains have? And let’s not get into Palin’s 150k wardrobe.
I will say this, it’s nice to read something denigrating about Obama without seeing it degenerating into shrill and idiotic comments about his name or how he’s some sort of secret terrorist who kicks puppies.

Good points about the McCain houses and Palin’s $150,000 wardrobe. If that is how she is going to spend campaign funds, she deserves to be called “Caribou Barbie.”
I wasn’t saying Obama is an elitist, I was saying he isn’t Mr. Middle Class like he is being made out to be.
But mostly, I was saying the media is unduly critical of the conservative ticket, and is giving the liberal a free pass.
Now there is some solid research that confirms that perception.
The Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism, a nonpartisan journalism watchdog organization, examined 2,412 stories from 43 newspapers and cable news shows in the six-week period beginning just after the conventions and ending with the final presidential debate.
What did they find?
NEGATIVE news coverage about the candidates:
60% McCain
29% Obama
POSITIVE news coverage about the candidates:
14% McCain
36% Obama
MIXED coverage about the candidates:
26% McCain
35% Obama
Or, stated differently…
McCain:
- 60% of all news coverage is negative
- 14% of news coverage is positive
- 26% is mixed
Obama:
- 29% of all news coverage is negative
- 36% of news coverage is positive
- 35% is mixed
And that doesn’t even take into account the mind bending money Obama is spending to buy our votes.
Obama has raised $618 million so far, and is expected to reach $695.7 million before it is all said and done. That’s nearly $700 million, just to get a 4 year job!
To put that into perspective…
$695.7 million = Obama’s expected funds for 2008 presidential race
$55.24 million = Bill Clinton’s funds in 1992
$61.82 million = Bill Clinton’s funds in 1996
$67.56 million = George W. Bush’s funds in 2000
$74.62 million = George W. Bush’s funds in 2004
———
$268.24 million = The total funds of all the winning presidential candidates combined on elections since 1992 (after winning primary elections).
$695.7 million = Obama’s 2008 war chest
$84 million = John McCain’s funds in 2008
60% = Negative press coverage about McCain
14% = Positive press coverage about McCain
It’s a wonder the presidential raise is this close!
It’s safe to say that Obama is not getting anywhere NEAR the bang for the buck that McCain is getting.
I seriously believe Obama is more of an IQ test than a candidate.
He’s a lawyer, skilled with words and he is all words. And spending. And with campaign spending like this, how are we supposed to believe Obama can keep all those promises without spending exorbitant amounts?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not happy with the whole system of electing a president, not just with Obama’s spending.
But having a guy like Obama in the white house, and Pelosi and company controlling congress, is like having a car with two accelerators and no brake!
